FAQ

How do I get to Downtown Oak Park?

There are several options for getting to Oaktoberfest.

Our personal favorite is to take advantage of the free Bike Valet service offered by Wheel and Sprocket at 1118 Westgate St! Bike to the event, check your bike in for free, and they will keep an eye on it until you are ready to head home!

  • Wheel and Sprocket Free Bike Valet will be available Friday 4pm to 10pm and Saturday 12pm to 10pm, with final bike pickup between 9pm and 10pm both days.

If you are driving, you can find public parking options here. Please note, Lot 3 and Lot 10 are closed during this event.

For public transit, the event area is located just off the Green Line and Metra Harlem stop. Several CTA and PACE bus routes stop in DTOP.

Can I bring my dog to Oaktoberfest?

Absolutely! We love seeing your furry friends enjoying the party. But please keep all dogs on a leash and be mindful that the music can get a bit loud for some dogs!

Can I buy drink tickets online before the event?

All drink ticket sales take place in person at the event. Remember to bring your ID!

What do I do if I forgot to bring cash?

No worries! We have ATMS on site and there are branches for several banks within the area that also have ATMS.

I have a food allergy. Will there be anything I can eat?

Yes! Many of our vendors offer options for those who have specific dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, no sugar added, etc.) We also offer drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) that can suit many dietary needs.

Is this event kid-friendly?

Yes, kids are welcome at the entire event and we also have a special section of the festival just for them from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday!

Can I have a booth at Oaktoberfest?

As the Business Alliance for Special Service Area 1, all of our events are designed to promote businesses operating within the Downtown Oak Park District. We do not have sales or demo booths as part of this event.

We do partner with local restaurants to provide food at the event and we also work with local non-profit organizations to provide activities for the Kids Root Beer Garden.

If you are a local non-profit organization interested in participating in Oaktoberfest, please contact jayne@downtownoakpark.net by July to be considered for inclusion.
